AT LAST, THE SO MUCH AWAITED SOLAR ECLIPSE, A UNIQUE MOMENT THAT IS RARE TO BE SEEN FROM SPAIN. THIS ECLIPSE HID 68 PER CENT OF THE SUN, AS SEEN FROM RASAL, AND LASTED AROUND TWO HOURS AND A HALF. LUCKILY, THE WEATHER WAS EXCELLENT DURING THE ECLIPSE AND ALL THOSE WHO WERE THERE COULD ENJOY IT AT THE MAXIMUM SEING IT AND, OF COURSE, ALSO TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS.
We woke up at six o'clock in the morning of the eclipse to station the telescope so that it could follow appropriately the Sun during the event. At that moment, the Sun began to shine over the mountains, and the expectation was big. We were able to station the telescope adequately and made the first observation of Saturn of the year: a magical moment.
At eight o'clock in the morning we were all getting ready for the observation. First, having breakfast and later through explanations on how to use the filters for the sun observation in order to avoid incidents. After that, we fixed the filter on the telescope and... started to photograph.
At the beginning we were going to be thirteen people at the house, but the forescasts of bad weather in all the country discouraged many and we ended up being only six. No matter what, we enjoyed it as it deserved.
Finally, after an unforgettable experience we took a photograph of the group and collected the equipment.
A hug with love.
